Founded in 1906 in San Angelo, the Robert Massie Funeral Home is the oldest locally owned funeral home in the area. Our history is one of fine funeral services to the folks of San Angelo, Grape Creek, Wall, Miles, Robert Lee, Ballinger, Christoval, Mertzon, Eldorado, Brady, Paint Rock, Eola, Mereta, and other communities in the Concho Valley and beyond.

Our current owner, Gene Price Keeney, has worked at the funeral home for over thirty years. Gene has been involved in every aspect of the funeral business. He is also involved in the Lion's Club and an avid golfer at the San Angelo Country Club.

His father, Charles Eugene Keeny, 1918-1996 (Gene Sr.) moved the funeral home from our location on S. Oakes to our current home on Rio Concho Dr. Gene Sr. purchased the funeral home from Robert Massie and his wife Mary, both of whom have residence halls named after them at the local college, Angelo State University.
