Alejandro "Alex" Soto Perez, aged 69, passed away on October 1, 2021.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, October 11, 2021, at the Rose Garden next To Robert Massie Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Helm, retired military chaplain, officiating. Military honors will be by the Ft. Hood Funeral Honor Team. Cremation and Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Alex was born December 12, 1951 in Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico to Agustin and Ana Maria Perez.He married his wife Anka Perez on May 31, 1974 in Kitzingen, Germany. Alex served in the US Army from October 1971until his retirement in July 1992. After graduating from Murray University in Murray, Kentucky, his began his career with the Federal Government in April 1995. Alex worked as an Industrial Hygienist and Safety Manager for the US Navy in Cherry Point, NC, the US Customs and Border Protection Agency in Tucson, AZ, the Forest Service in Albuquerque, NM, and the Department of Labor and Veterans Benefit Administration in Washington, DC until his retirement on January 1, 2018.

Alex was very dedicated to his work; his job was also his hobby. His research at Cherry Point is still explored further by the U.S. government and various corporations while his websites that he designed for workers' safety are still read by the different agency workers at the present time. He was known in many places for his multiple accomplishments, he held an array of honorary memberships, and he was remembered and recognized by all those he had met before. In 2010, Alex received the Strathmore's Who's Who Honor Award, being globally recognized for the influence he had during his profession.

While living in New Mexico, Alex became an elder of the Grace Brethren Lutheran Church. He was a kind and giving person, donating to organizations such as Meals for the Elderly and the Salvation Army. Because of his generous heart and personable attitude, he is remembered by a large community and has received many prayers.

Alejandro is survived by Anka, his wife of 47 years, as well as his children, Anka Muehle and husband Sven, Alexandra Perez, and Dora Perez. He is also survived by his grandchildren Ashley, Adrian, and Cecilia, and his siblings Joe Perez, Elena Schultz and husband Dan, Connie Sisco and husband Dan, Soledad Perez, and Agustin Perez.
