Alfredo L. Sánchez, Sr. 89 passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022, at his residence in San Angelo.
A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Ramiro Borrego, a Jehovah's Witness minister, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mr. Sánchez was born January 20, 1933 in Big Lake, Texas to Pedro and Felicita Sánchez. Alfredo married Emma Solís August 4, 1951 in Eldorado. Alfredo has been a resident of San Angelo since 1958. He worked for the Railroad for 2 years before working at Texas State Bank in the maintenance department from 1961 until his retirement in 1995. He was a baptized Jehovah's Witness for 61 years and served as an Elder in the congregation for the majority of those years. He loved sharing the good news of God's Kingdom with his neighbors and community in his house to house ministry. Alfredo was a good teacher and helped several of the current members in the congregation to become servants of Jehovah God. He also loved working around the house.
Survivors include his wife, Emma of the home; two sons, Alfredo Sánchez, Jr. and wife Christine, and Pedro "Pete" Sánchez both of San Angelo; two daughters, Adelfina Lozano and Irma Sánchez both of San Angelo; two grandchildren, Sadrac Lozano, and Sabrina Ortegón; and two brothers, Francisco Sánchez and Jesse Sánchez both of San Angelo. Alfredo was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
