Arzeneth "Val" Cuellar Valencia, 80, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021, in San Angelo.

There are no services scheduled. Cremation is under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Valencia was born July 19, 1941 in San Angelo. She has been a lifelong resident of San Angelo. Val was a 1961 graduate of San Angelo Central High School. She attended Howard Payne College from 1961-1962 and received her nursing certificate. Val married Aurelio Valencia in 1971 and he preceded her in death in 1995, she later married Edward Rodriguez in 1998 and he preceded her in death in 2009. She received her nursing degree from San Diego State University. After graduation she began to work at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego for 30 years. She then moved back to San Angelo where she began working at San Angelo Community Medical Center, retiring in 2020. Val was a former member of Segunda Iglesia Bautista and currently attended Bethal Baptist Church. Val loved animals, cooking, traveling, and gardening. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Val loved her nursing career from doing patient care to changing units. All of it was very rewarding to her.

Survivors include her son, Miguel Gutierrez and wife Crystal of Odessa; 2 brothers, Ananias Cuellar and Amos Cuellar both of San Angelo; a sister, Ayda Klee and husband John of San Angelo; five grandchildren; and a great grandson. Val was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Adelina "May" Cuellar, Anita Elizondo, and Adelmira "Vera" Gardner.
