Barbara Swindell Pharr

Barbara Swindell Pharr, 72, of San Angelo, passed away, Friday, July 16, 2004 in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Monday, July 19, at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Rev. Jim Wilkerson of Hillcrest Baptist Church and Rev. Mike Andress of Hospice of San Angelo officiating. Burial will follow at Belvedere Memorial Park. Mrs. Pharr was an avid oil painter, a member of the Senior Citizens Art Club and the Garden Club. She worked for the school district, retiring after 25 years of service. She was loved by many friends and family. Barbara is survived by her ; Husband:John "Sonny" Pharr of San Angelo, Daughter: Stacy Conatser and husband Tracy of Big Spring, Son: Ricky D. Pharr of San Angelo, Brother: Fred Swindell of Everett, Pa., Sisters: Marcella Hess , Mary Effland, Betty Simpson, Bert Bulger all of Everett, Pa. Grandsons: Chris Conatser of Big Spring and Nicholas Pharr of San Angelo and a Grand Dog, Rudy. Pallbearers will be Walter Hammons, Bobby Hood, Bill Wallace, Alfonse Schwartz, Tony Wallace and Dan Steele. Memorials may be made to Hospice of San Angelo or the American Cancer Society.
