Chris Fryar, an artist and musician, of San Angelo passed away on March 1st, 2022.

Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday March 12, 2022 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Wall with Pastor, Fr. Joe Choutapalli, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mr. Fryar was born on December 8, 1963 in Dallas TX and graduated from Lakeview High School in Garland TX in 1980. In 1984, Chris graduated from East Texas State University with an art degree. He had worked on his master's degree from Penn State University. Chris was a modern artist winning numerous awards and accolades. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and piano. Chris had a fervent belief in Christ his savior, which helped him through many difficult times. Chris was a member at St. Ambrose Catholic Church where he sang in the choir.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Fryar III.

Chris is survived by his mother, Marsha Duggan-Carrell and her husband Steve of San Angelo; brother, Steven Fryar and wife Bobbi of Tyler; sister, Cynthia Jarvis and husband Rich of Sachse; five nephews, Brandon, Josh, Jordan, Collin and Shelbi; and three nieces, Ashley, Amber, and Shelli; two step-brothers, Wesley Carrell of San Angelo, Clint Carrell and wife Melissa of San Angelo; and step-sister, Kari Carrell of Portland, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MHMR of San Angelo, 1501 Beauregard Ave, San Angelo, TX 76901.
