HEDY L. BOWEN

Hedy L. Bowen, 75, of San Angelo, passed away Monday, October 10, 2005 in a local nursing home. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 15, 2005 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Rev. Karen Schmeltekopf officiating. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Hedy was born January 18, 1930 in Waurika, OK to James David and Hessie Mae Parsons. Hedy was an educator for 46 years, most with the San Angelo ISD. At the time of her retirement, she was the supervisor of the District English Department. She was a past President of the San Angelo Retired Teachers Association and an active member of the local Democratic National Party. She enjoyed a life filled with a legion of very good friends, family, books and music. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William J. "Bill" Bowen a brother James David Parsons, Jr and two sisters Hazel J. Parsons and Ella Louise Bartley. Survivors are: Three sisters:Thelma Johnson of Cumby, TX Frances Dearing of Abilene Norma June Petty of Tool, TX Numerous nieces and nephews.
