Janet Dean Baker Gregory

Janet Dean Baker Gregory, 92, of Bronte, Texas passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, with her family by her side.

She was born December 11, 1931 in Lamesa to parents Sidney Claud Dean and Mary E. Bristow Dean. Janet graduated from Weatherford High School in 1949. She married her high school sweetheart Bobby Baker in 1949, and they lived together in Robert Lee for fifty years before relocating to San Angelo. They were married for over fifty-two years before the passing of Bobby in 2002. She then married the late W A Gregory in 2003.

Janet is survived by her three daughters: Dianne Parker and husband Gary of San Angelo; Cheri Mashburn and husband Rick of Salado; and Mary Kay Brasuel and husband kike Mike of Eden. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Janet was an active member of the Robert Lee Baptist Church. She held several different jobs in Robert Lee including being the secretary to the Coke County Judge. She had a love for animals, whether it be goats, ducks, or lambs, but cats held a special place in her heart. She was a wonderful cook and passed her talent on to her girls.

At Janet's request no funeral will be held. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Since she was a volunteer at Hospice of San Angelo at one time and Hospice of San Angelo helped with both of her husbands as well as her end-of-life care, her family requests that any donations be made to Hospice of San Angelo, 1933 University Ave., San Angelo, Texas 76904 .
