Jo Ann Martin

Jo Ann Martin, age 72, of San Angelo passed away on Friday, July 16, 2004 at her residence. Memorial Services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Rev. Francis Strother with the Christian Renewal Center officiating. Jo was born in Knickerbocker at home on November 20, 1931 to John Holly Etheridge and Ida Mae Stephens Etheridge. Jo worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Johns Hospital and for over twenty years at the San Angelo State School in Carlsbad where she dearly loved her clients. She was an avid and devoted fan of the Houston Astros, figure skating and Clay Aiken from American Idol. She was also a devoted caregiver and loved animals. Jo was a loving mother she dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who all will deeply miss her. She is survived by her daughters, Leslie Awalt and husband, Jerry of Winters, TX; Terry Martin of Arlington, TX; sister, Gwen Perkins of El Caion, CA; Grandchildren,Christi Trusevich of Sunnyvale, TX; Rachel Milner of Texarkana, TX; Josh Awalt of Midlothian, TX; Jake Baty of Ft. Bragg, NC; JoEllen Baty of Grand Prairie, TX; Great-grandsons, Matthew Awalt, Tyler Harpole, Justin Trusevich, Shiloh Milner, Noah Baty, Micah Milner and Great-granddaughter, Avery Ann Awalt; numerous nieces and nephews.
