His restaurant became famous for their well-known salsa and enchilada sauces. His family continues to use his special recipes to this day at Fernandez Restaurant. In addition to owning a business, he enjoyed watching sports and running his famous football pots. He loved dancing and even won first place in a Mambo dancing contest. He could always be seen helping his sons with their concerts and events. Being young at heart, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and taking them out to eat regularly.
