Justo Hiram Guerra, 60, of San Angelo, passed away Saturday morning, surrounded by his wife, children, sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews after a courageous battle with cancer. Justo was born May 5, 1944 in Jimenez, Coah, Mexico. He was the owner and founder of San Angelo based Justo Guerra Construction Company. Justo formed his company 21 years ago and he led his loyal employees through his strong work ethic. Justo's pride and joy was his family and the love for the outdoors, particularly fishing. Justo also quietly helped many people in need. Justo is preceded in death by his parents, Justo Hiram and Zare Villarreal Guerra. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Maria Guadalupe Guerra, two sons Justo Hiram Guerra IV, of San Angelo and Julio Guerra, a United States Marine currently serving in Iraq, one daughter, Julia Santeliz, Son-in-law, Hely Santeliz of Miami, FL, one granddaughter, Catherine Nicole Guerra and one grandson Justo Hiram Guerra V. Justo was also lovingly looking forward to the birth of a third grandchild in October. He is also survived by his sisters, Julia Constancio and Dora Talamantes, both of San Angelo and two brothers Arturo Guerra of San Carlos, Coah, Mexico and Juan Andres Guerra of Piedras Niegras, Coah, Mexico and numerous nephews and nieces. Pallbearers will be Justo Guerra IV, Julio Guerra, Arturo Constancio, Mel Luna all of San Angelo, Jose Antonio Guerra of San Carlos, Coah, Mex and Hely Santeliz. Viewing and Rosary will take place on Monday, July 4, at Robert Massie Funeral Home at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Quirino Cornejo officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Cemetery.
