Mary Shelton West

Mary Shelton West, 100, of San Angelo, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at her residence. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 1, 2004 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel, officiating will be Chaplain Mike Burson with Vista Care Hospice of San Angelo. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Mrs. West was born December 3, 1903 in Belton, Texas, to William and Jennie Sortor Ballard. Mrs. West was a homemaker and mother of five children. She resided with her daughter Therese. She was under Hospice Care for three years. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands; Thomas Shelton and Luther West along with two daughters; Bessie Barron and Frances Shelton. Survivors are: Two Daughters:Lela Lambe and husband, George Zolovchik of Wolcott, CO Therese Pollard of San Angelo One Son: Benton Shelton of San Angelo Eight grandchildren Twelve great-grandchildren Twenty-six great-great-grandchildren One great-great-great-grandchild Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Lambe, Terry Dawn Elliott, Judy Lose, Julie Owings, Gary Elliott, Kathy Ashlock. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Lambe, Brian Lambe, Don Morris The family would like to greatfully express their thanks to her nurse, Lee Francis, her Minister Mike Burson, Monica Sanchez and Kathy McCuistion and all of Vista Care that gave their loving care to our Mother.
