Lowell Murphy passed away peacefully in San Ramon, California on July 5, 2004. At his bedside was Geneva, his wife of 59 years. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, Monday, July 12, 2004 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Rev. Garry Bevins officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Garden. Mr. Murphy was a WWII veteran who served in the Army Air Corps where he attended flight school in Mississippi. He was an accomplished racecar driver and promoter and raced until 1960. A long time resident of San Angelo he worked as an electrician for SESCO for 31 years and eventually owned San Angelo Electric Motor Repair for another 21 years.
