Neva L. McCrohan

NEVA L. McCROHAN Our loving, beautiful mother, Neva Louise McCrohan, age 85, completed her journey through this life on Sunday, May 30, in New Braunfels, Texas. Neva was born in Bigheart, Oklahoma, on June 29, 1918, to Harold and Myrtle Wyatt Preston. Her family had moved to Wyoming, where she met and married Charlie Wade McCrohan of San Angelo on November 8, 1935. They lived in the San Antonio area and Llano until 1985, when they returned to San Angelo due to Mr. McCrohan's health. He preceded her in death in February, 1988. She had resided in Ballinger for the past eight years and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Neva is survived by her children, Charlie McCrohan Jr., and wife, Wyvon, of San Angelo; Sharon Georg and husband, Clarence, of Nixon; Michael McCrohan and wife, Diann, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; and Dennis McCrohan and wife, Jacque, of Bronte; son-in-law, Wylie Wilson, San Angelo. She leaves eight grandchildren and their spouses, Charlie III and Sharon McCrohan, San Angelo; Loren and Lynn Stewart and Tommy McCrohan, all of Christoval; Janet Wilson, Roddy and Laurie Georg, all of Seguin; Teresa and David Millican, Robert Lee; Deborah Downing, Hartford, Kentucky; and Michael McCrohan, Austin, 12 great granchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Two brothers and their wives, Robert and Katherine Preston of Renton, Washington, and Donald and Geishla Preston of Wisconsin, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive her. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Patricia Darleen Wilson; son, John Edward McCrohan; great grandson, Donald Wolfe, and infant twin daughters, Mary and Marie. A rosary was recited at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Father Hubert Wade officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at Calvary Cemetery in San Angelo. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Charlie McCrohan, III, Loren Stewart, Tommy McCrohan, and Roddy Georg, great-grandson Jason McCrohan, San Angelo; and David Millican. Neva was a cheerful person, always with a smile. She had a deep faith in God and knew her life had been blessed by a dear, devoted husband, her children and their children, all of whom she loved with all her heart. Although we greatly suffer her loss, we are comforted by the knowledge she has reunited with our father and others who have gone before. We love you, Mother.
