Nevada was born December 25, 1930 in Lamesa, TX to Curtis and Pearl St. Clair. Nevada's schooling was principally in Seminole, TX. He graduated in 1949 from Brownfield High School. He attended two years at McMurry College. In 1958, after much Bible study, he chose as a vocation that of an ordained Christian Minister of Jehovah God. He was an elder for 28 years in the congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses in San Angelo. He served as an elder two years in the Ballinger congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. His avocation was that of general contractor in San Angelo, Sonora, and Ballinger. Over the years he remodeled many homes.
