Robert Richard Cochran, 69, of San Angelo died unexpectedly Saturday, June 11, 2005, while vacationing in Taos, New Mexico. A graveside service was held for him Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Fairmount Cemetery in San Angelo with the Reverend Roger Roenfeldt officiating, and with life-long friend John McGee sharing some memories. Robert was born in San Angelo, December 21, 1935. He graduated from San Angelo High School and received his degree from Angelo State University. He taught and coached in several West Texas school systems before returning to San Angelo. His main hobbies were taking long distance motorcycle trips and operating his ham radio. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde F. and Elizabeth Cochran of San Angelo; and a daughter, Sheila Cochran of Austin. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Marilyn Worden Cochran; a daughter, Pamela Cochran of Corpus Christi; two sons, Steve Cochran of Dallas and Phillip Cochran of San Angelo; a grandson, Robert Vernon of Austin; and a brother, Felton Cochran of San Angelo.
