Betty Lou Kennemer

Betty Lou Kennemer, 82, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023, at her home.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kennemer was born September 7, 1941 in San Angelo where she attended Lake View High School. Betty was raised in San Angelo and moved to Ackerly from 1966 until 1977 when she moved back to San Angelo. Betty and Clyde meet in San Angelo and we're married in 1958 ……after that we all moved to Ackerly 1966 then all back to San Angelo in 1977. Betty married Clyde Kennemer on October 17, 1958 at Harris Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor A.J. Kennemer, officiating, when he was given a honorarium, he requested that the money be given to Clyde and Betty as a wedding gift. Betty was a bookkeeper for Ackerly Oil and later worked for the US Postal Service in Ackerly and later in San Angelo. Betty loved her animals, making jewelry, spending the day shopping with her sister-in-law, "not buying anything". She loved watching Old Westerns. Honesty was one of the most important traits she held too.

Survivors include her husband, Clyde Kennemer of the home; a son, Ronald Edward Kennemer of San Angelo; a daughter, Linda June Norris and husband Ronald of Live Oak; a brother, Bill Lane and wife Judy of Luling; two sisters, Mary Lynn Ritter of Brownwood, and Susie Williams of San Angelo; four grandchildren, Misty, Spencer, Sterling, and Justin; five great grandchildren, Laney, Ainsley, Connor, Colton, and Caleb.
