Daniel H Ruiz, Sr.

Daniel H. Ruiz, Sr., 84, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021, at his home in Eola.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Moses Ruiz, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Mereta-Eola Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mr. Ruiz was born February 17, 1936 in Paint Rock. Daniel was a life resident of Eola. He married Clara Rodriguez on June 23, 1957 in San Angelo. Daniel worked for Concho County as a heavy equipment operator for 14 years, was a sheep shearer for many farmers for 16 years, and Sheep-Shearing Contractor for 44 years. He was a member of the Eola Baptist Church. He loved to play music and sing.

Survivors include his wife, Clara of the home; four sons, Richard Ruiz and wife Monaly, Raul Ruiz and wife Norma, Rufus Ruiz and wife Amelia, and Roger Ruiz; a daughter, Dalilah Rodriguez and husband Alejandro, Sr.; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; a brother; and three sisters. Daniel was preceded in death by two sons, Rudy Ruiz, Sr, and Daniel Ruiz, Jr.; a brother; and five sisters.
