Rev. Ernest D. Waggoner, 80, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

There will be a private intimate family memorial service at the Big Bend National Park in accordance with Ernest request.

Rev. Waggoner was born March 10, 1941 in Pryor, Oklahoma. Ernest married Sherry Walters on April 15, 1967 in Hobbs, New Mexico. Ernest was a pastor at various location including Farmers Branch, Odessa, Hobbs, O'Donnell, Ft. Stockton, and Pecos. Ernest retired from ministry in 2009 with forty-eight years of ministry. He loved to garden, read, and was an avid "Prayer Warrior". Ernest would always help those in need throughout the world. Ernest loved spending time with his loving family, especially his two grandsons.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-four years, Sherry Waggoner of the home; his son, Andy Waggoner and wife Rose of San Angelo, TX; his two grandsons, Matthew Waggoner, and Christopher Waggoner both of San Angelo, TX; his brother, Fred Waggoner of Eunice, NM; and his sister, Beth Waggoner Bray and husband Bob of Seguin, TX. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Juanita Waggoner, and a sister, Wanda Waggoner Ross.
