Gerardo Alvarado Serrano, 67, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020, in San Angelo.
Public viewing will be from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 21, 2020, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Brad Howard. Mr. Serrano was born June 22, 1952, in Jalisco, Mexico. He has been resident of Sterling City since 2009 moving from Riverside, California. Gerardo worked for RCR as a pipe fitter for eight years and also Rainer Construction for 15 years traveling all over the U.S. He was a Catholic. He was an avid gardener, and he loved to sing, dance and play guitar. Gerardo was known for helping other and loved playing with his children and grandchildren. His laughter was always contagious.
Survivors include his significant other, Rosalita Moran of Sterling; his children, Gerardo Serrano of Perris, California, Angelina Serrano and her significant other Martin Pelayo of Perris, California, Felipe Serrano and wife Crystal of Anaheim, California, Nieves Serrano and her significant other Michael Cabrara Plainview, Adam Serrano and wife Jessica of Rotan, Joseph Moran of Sterling City, Peter Avina of Perris, California, George Avina and his significant other Dorloris Ponce of Hemet, California, Rosemary Avina of Lake Elsinor, Nancy Avina of Perris, California, and Claudia Gipson of San Angelo; 26 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many other family members.
