Larry DeWayne Chambers, age 79, a resident of San Angelo, Texas, a former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Shannon Medical Center, San Angelo, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, May 27, 2023. Inurnment will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.. Local arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Larry was born the son of Herschell and Sarah Lee (Anderson) Chambers on May 23, 1943, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1961 graduate of North Kansas City High School. Larry was united in marriage to Shirley Loeffers on November 1, 1991, in Lexington, Missouri. She survives of the home. He was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Larry worked as a truck driver for Ryder P.I.E. until he moved to California. He enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Chambers of the home; children, Shannon Chambers of Wright City, Missouri, Joseph Chambers of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Janine Seals of San Angelo, Texas, Aaron Chambers of Blue Springs, Missouri, Matthew Chambers of Helena, Montana, and Sheri Thomas of Sumter, South Carolina; twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Tim Chambers of Braymer, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Terry Chambers.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers, doctors, nurses, and staff that took care of Larry.
