Maria R. Fernandez

Maria R. Fernandez, 60, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, January 12, 2022, in San Angelo.

Public viewing will be from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Prayer Service being at 6:00 PM Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Robert Massie River Side Chapel. Funeral service will at 10:00 AM Monday, January17, 2022, at Templo Monte De Los Olivos, 1108 Shiloh St., San Angelo, TX 76901, with pastor Elisabet Geair, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Garden under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Fernandez was born July 12, 1961 in Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico to Pedro and Dora E. Rivera. Maria has been a resident of San Angelo since 1980. Maria was a caregiver for her daughter Mayra. She was a member of Templo Monte De Los Olivos. Maria loved sewing, and spending time with her loving family.

Survivors include children, Josue Rivera, Sr. and wife Nikki, Miguel,Juan, Daniel Fernandez, and Mayra Rivera; her mother, Dora E. Rivera; sisters, Dora Garcia and husband Isidro, Martha Morgan, Enedina Rivera, Esther Batiste, Raquel Martin and husband Chris, and Nelly Rivera; brothers, Juan Rivera and wife Martha, Alex Rivera, Sr. and wife Teresa, Daniel Rivera, Sr., Joel Rivera Sr. and wife Susana, and Eliseo Rivera, Sr. and wife Vanessa; grandchildren, Josue Rivera Jr., Alazay Rivera, Hennessey Rivera, Zayden Rivera, Paul Montez, Juan Fernandez, Jr., Onyx Drake Jerenil, Rae Lynn Fernandez, and Miguel Fernandez, Jr.; many nieces and nephews she dearly loved.

Pallbearers for Maria's service will be Joel Rivera, Eli Rivera, Sr., Eli Rivera, Jr, Pedro Rivera, Stephen Torres, Abraham Lucio, Jr., and Johnny Fernandez; Honorary Pallbearers will be her sons, Josue Rivera, Sr., and Juan Fernandez, Jr.
