Patricia Hernandez

Patricia Hernandez, 50, of Big Lake passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

Viewing will begin at 2:00PM on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Big Lake Apostolic Church with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 19, 2023 with Pastor Gabriel Romero, officiating. A burial will follow in Glen Rest Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hernandez was born on February 13, 1973 in Del Rio to Jose and Julia Rodriguez Chavez. Patricia moved to Big Lake and graduated from Reagan County High School in 1993. She worked at Dairy Queen and at Grandma's Kitchen for many years. Patricia loved to fish, dance, play bingo, and gamble. She was always happy, the life of the party and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. You would always know when Patricia was around because you would hear her booming voice.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Maria Teodora; a sister, Olivia De la Cruz; her father, Jose Chavez; and a brother-in-law, David Villarreal.

Patricia is survived by her son Julio Alberto Chavez of Big Lake; her husband, Saul Hernandez; her mother, Julia Chavez of Big Lake; three siblings, Josephina Chavez, Jose Chavez, and Ruth Martinez and husband Sammy all of Big Lake.

Pallbearers will be Julio Chavez, Refugio DeLaRosa, Jose Chavez, Jeremiah Martinez, Joel Martinez, Jimmy Garcia, Jesus Rodriguez, David Chavez, and Fabian Garcia
