Sergio Munoz Galvan is resting in eternal peace with his Lord and Maker. Sergio Galvan, 80, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020, in San Angelo, Texas.
Public viewing will be from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM Friday, November 20, 2020, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 21, 2020, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mr. Galvan was born March 22, 1940 in Ozona, Texas to Pedro and Marina Galvan. He has been a resident of San Angelo since 1960. Sergio owned and operated Galvan Grocery on Powell Street for many years before closing in 1982. He worked for the City of San Angelo in the Parks Department retiring in 2002. Sergio’s passion was working and spending time in the outdoors.
Survivors include his son, Oscar Galvan and wife Rosalinda; two daughters, Lorena Trevino and husband George, and Etelvina Gomez and husband Jaime; two brothers, Fernando Galvan and Javier Galvan and wife Soveida; four sisters, Graciela Perez, Rosantina Mata, Hilda Carranco and husband Sergio, and Irma Delarosa and husband Enimencio; six grandchildren, Alexandra Galvan Wilson, Gabriel Galvan, Mark Trevino, Laura Trevino, Victoria LeFan, and David Gomez; two great grandchildren, Malia Wilson and Silas Wilson. Sergio was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Pedro Galvan, Jr.; and a sister, Idalia Valdez.
