Mrs. Jasso was born February 18, 1926 in Ballinger. Mona worked for the Eldorado School Cafeteria as a cook and when she moved back to San Angelo in 1984 she started working for the San Angelo ISD Cafeteria. Mona taught religious education in Eldorado ,and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she served as a eucharistic minister. She loved living out her faith by showing her children and grandchildren the way of the Lord. No matter what life gave her she always offered a smile and she never knew a stranger. The family gains comfort that she is free of the pain from cancer and now she is truly home with the Lord.
Survivors include her two sons, Martin Jasso, and Michael Jasso; two daughters, Mary Huerta and husband Freddy, and Margaret Cole and partner Mike Mazzie; five grandchildren, Phillip, Marissa, Stephanie, Robert, Jr., and Chelsea; and 15 great grandchildren.
