Soveida V Galvan

Soveida Galvan, 79, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Public viewing will be from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM with the rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 10, 2023, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Joey Faylona, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Galvan was born December 17, 1943 in Melvin. Soveida has been a lifelong resident of San Angelo. She was a 1961 graduate of Central High School. Soveida was a CNA at Baptist Memorial and a foster grandparent for San Angelo Day Nursery. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Soveida loved doing crossword puzzles, reading the newspaper and magazines. Soveida was a collector of angels. As a younger lady she liked to go fishing and hunting.

Survivors include her husband, Javier Galvan of the home; a daughter, Lisa Morris of Ft. Worth; a stepdaughter, Celia Miranda and husband Ramon of Colorado; three brothers, Leandro Valles, Jr. and wife Celia, Alex Valles and wife Linda, and James Valles and wife Eva all of San Angelo; an aunt, Erlinda Valles; two adopted grandchildren, Xavier Valles and Mikayla Valles both of San Angelo; two step grandchildren, Catherine Molder and Benjamin Molder both of Colorado. Soveida was preceded in death by her parents, Leandro and Maria Valles; and a brother, Richard Valles.
